Institutional Workshops
Why should you choose an ACTFL workshop?
- ACTFL’s professional development is anchored by dozens of presenters averaging over 25 years implementing language proficiency practices and over 15 years facilitating workshops on proficiency.
- Our workshop facilitators come from a wide range of linguistic, professional, and educational backgrounds, making it possible to find the appropriate expert to work with your faculty
- In addition to experts with K-12, higher education, immersion, and applied linguistics backgrounds, we are able to accommodate groups of LCTL (Less Commonly Taught Language) teachers, native and indigenous language communities, and international schools
Workshop Delivery: All workshops are offered both in-person or virtually, giving you the flexibility to choose the structure that best meets the needs and budget of your institution and its educators. Both delivery methods have been highly successful, covering the same learning objectives, content, and activities.
Requesting a Workshop
Before submitting your workshop request to ACTFL, it’s important to review all of our offerings to ensure that you identify the most appropriate workshop for your institution’s context. You’re ready to submit a request if you know:
- The title for the specific workshop you wish to arrange (see options below)
- The dates that you have available to schedule PD
- Who your participants are or have a plan to recruit them
- Your budget and/or administrative process for funding approval
